Title: Barbed vs Piston
Post by: Spikepit on October 09, 2011, 10:40:27 AM
Having a dilemma in choosing between {Barbed Battlegear} and {Piston Sledge}. Its for my Kemba's Last Stand deck that you'll find in the Decks category in the forum menu.

Which of the two is better for a quick deck?

Cool!!! The new card viewers option works like a treat!!! How easy this is going to make answering deck questions! 🌟

Speaking of which, my delimma still stands, which is better, {Barbed Battlegear} or {Piston Sledge} for a standard quick deck?

Based on your deck, I would probably opt for {Barbed Battlegear} myself, just because your creatures can take the hit to toughness, and it's particular good with first strikers.  Plus having to sac an artifact to equip can be quite a burden without puresteel.

To be honest though, both are decent options. :)

Thanks Phat Max! I was leaning towards Barbed, but like a teen in time of decision, I needed someone to make it for me. 😁 Will go and make the change now.

Although, the sledge works nicely with morbid effects... And you could run weenies like {Myr Sire} who give you creatures when they die or a token generator like one of the planeswalkers like garruk. Obviously you cannot equip the sire be it would die though
