Hello forum, so I recently started playing magic and I believe I made a stupid mistake. For my first buy I bought the deck builders toolkit and built a couple decks, idk if they are any good because I have only played with a couple friends who are also kind of new to the game. So please give me some help and tips on what kind of decks to build and also should I buy a intro pack or a duel deck of some sort before continuing the attemp to build my own deck?
Just buy booster boxes, or think of a play style you like first( big creatures, small and fast, no creatures, control) then look up how the pros build their decks, surf these forums, look at amateur decks... Read Death Gaara's Bringing You A Game in the forums section... Just browse around, look up MTG search engine and look for effects you like.. Just look around and piece together cards that fit your style.. Watching games and reading articles help more than anythig, but truthfully experience is your biggest factor so the best thingyou can do is research and play as much as possible. download cockatrice, its free and lets you play as much as your heart could desire
Thanks man I will check that out, right now I like using a lot if creature cards mostly with my red and white deck and like for my black and blue deck I like to use mostly spells and enchants, stuff like that. I'm about to add some artifacts tho because I made a noob mistake and put some creature cards that required artifacts to be played. I wish I had Friday night magic near me but the closest store that does FNM is like 2 hours away from me so I can't really watch competitive people play but I watch friends.
Cockatrice and research does wonders.. I just get experienced people so help and now i make decent decks (200% improvement from 2 weeks ago) and youtube ans google competitive matches etc
