I'm new to this explain why I keep seeing the term "bump" Im assuming whatever is bumped has been done or redone?

A "bump" is when you post in an older topic just to "bump" it up to the top/fresh posts for people to see again on page 1.
It can be used like just did to help people locate older topics. But some people do it on topics that aren't even old just to keep it at the top. Don't do it like that - most consider it spam and annoying.

Basically what he is saying is that before you make a generic topic like this, see if there already is one just like it. You don't have to do it with every thread you make though. Just the ones that have a higher likelyhood of being done already. Use your judgement skillz and common sense and you can't go wrong! :)
