So I just got into Magic. Me and a friend have been playing with decks from the deck builders toolkit, and I think I have the hang of the basics. Do any of you guys know any common mistakes or rules I wouldn't know of? Maybe some good tips or such. Thanks.
Best advice I can give is to learn how "The Stack" works. A good 90% of confusions and misunderstandings in magic can be cleared up with a good understanding of the stack and a healthy dose of logic.
I think I sorta understand that... Enough to play casually I think. Things that go on the stack last happen first right?
That is a pretty confusing part, but I THINK I understand.
A little more info: My friend go the toolkit and we live relatively close so we play every couple days. So I don't have my own deck as of yet, but I'm looking forward to getting one.
You got it! Understanding that and when things use that stack is a big key to the game (and sometimes abusing it to your advantage ;)) you're off to a good start already! Play, have fun, and never hesitate to ask questions!
Welcome to magic and to iMtG!
