I brewed this up today and have tested it on Cockatrice and it beats all the tier 1 and tier 2 decks. Basically the plan is to use {Fog} effects until you get a{Curse of the Pierced Heart} to resolve, which puts them on a reasonable clock, and use {Otherworld Atlas} to draw a ton of cards. I've been thinking about {Staff of Nin} gor this, but Atlas comes down two turns earlier and can get you seriously large amounts of cards, with your opponent just getting useless creatures. I think that Staff could be decent sideboard tech against the control matchup. I would really like some good advice on this.
I don't see this beating control.
Ever.
It loses to my 5 color lotus deck just cause i have time for the combo. You need some kind of disruption.
It actually consistently beat bant control. I played a game on cockatrice today where they played 4 Thrags and 4 Resto-Thrags...
Maybe {Stuffy Doll} for use with your 'burn all creatures' spells? Survives and deals the damage. :)
I'd play 3 for 3 lands, coz when you get those atlas' cranking you will have so many lands you can't use..
