Post by: Mikefrompluto on December 02, 2012, 12:01:41 AM

Deadeye Messenger

60 cards, 0 sideboard

4 {Drowned Catacomb}
5 {Swamp}
5 {Island}
3 {Hinterland Harbor}
5 {Forest}
2 {Overgrown Tomb}

24 lands

3 {Hover Barrier}
2 {Geralf's Messenger}
4 {Doorkeeper}
2 {Galvanic Alchemist}
3 {Trestle Troll}
3 {Axebane Guardian}
2 {Deadeye Navigator}

19 creatures

3 {Inspiration}
4 {Farseek}
2 {Increasing Ambition}
3 {Divination}
2 {Diabolic Revelation}
3 {Think Twice}

17 other spells

Sideboard

Notes:
Threw this together real quick. Based off of someone else's deck that used the navigator bonded with {zealous conscripts}. The idea is to do an infinite mana loop with {axebane guardian} and {galvanic alchemist} and then endlessly flicker {geralf's messenger} bonded to {deadeye navigator}.

Who was this someone using conscripts with navigator!? Thats genius!

Seriously though, the diabolic is a great attempt to make up for low numbers of the pieces, but for this to really work it will need  a playset of messengers. Also consider {manor gargoyle} to help with the defender concept.

{Bloodhunter Bat} can do the same thing as geralf, and it is less mana-intensive! ;)

Yes yes, full credit goes to you for sparking the idea. I would love to have a playset of messengers but at the moment, I only have three. If i decide I want to build this, ill definitely change things around to add a fourth messenger and also play around with the {manor gargoyle}s.

Also, you think it'd be a good idea to do playsets of the other three creatures involved? That's basically the only win con of the deck, and I added a decent amount of draw, but would it benefit more with playsets of the cards needed?
