Title: You as a creature card
Post by: Birdbrain on November 30, 2012, 05:37:33 AM
Going based on the best deck you've ever built, what kind of creature card would you be if you were a creature in this game?

You could also let your imagination run wild with this. Or make yourself a planes walker. I really don't really care.

Ll start. The best deck I ever ran was a rebel deck. Which basically with rebels you can gradually play them from your deck.
In my deck, I would focus on playing creatures in the early turns and save my best instances and sorceries for when I needed them. The rebel with vigilance helped my turn several games around.
The problem however was they costed more to do so. And if your early rebels were taken down, and they kept up the aggression, there was really nothing you could do. I'll divert from the rebel theme however and do something slightly different. And {W} is also too ridged a color, though it is a good color

{W}{U}{2}

Whenever you play a creature spell, draw a card.
Whenever you play an instant or sorcery return target permanent to its owners hand unless that cards controller pays {1}
Fateful hour- if you have 5 or less life. Creatures you control gain +1/+2, vigilance, shroud, and first strike

If i were a creature i would want to be a 5/3 beast for 4{G}, when it enters the battlefield you gain 5 life and when it leaves you get a 3/3 beast.... Or is that already taken? 😏

Man, you're really popular.

Myself as a creature, huh? I don't think my personality would make a good mtg creature. I'd probably end up as a flip card.

{1}{W}{R}
Nice Guy
1/4
Lifelink
{T}, Target permanent gains protection from the color of your choice until end of turn.
{T}, Target creature gains Haste until end of turn.

Have a bad day: transform Nice Guy

(Moon side {R}/{B})
Grumbling Depressed A******
1/4
Deathtouch
{T}, deals 1 damage to target creature or player.
{T}, Destroy target artifact.
"Leave me alone."

Okay maybe not quite that drastic but it was fun to think up the card since I can't sleep :P

If I had to define myself close to an existing card, it would have to be  {Spearbreaker Behemoth}

If I had to make up one:

Quack, the leader

3{W}{G}
Loyalty: 4
Planeswalker - Quack

+1: search your library for a land card and put into play. Shuffle your library.

-3: creatures you control get +3/+3 and gain trample and vigilance until end of turn.

-10: you gain 20 life.  You get an emblem that says, "whenever a creature you control attacks, that creature gets +X/+X, where X is a quarter of your life total, rounded up.

"When you hear the sound of a duck, you run."

Kellen, Host of Gods 4{W}{U}
Flash, Flying
Whenever Kellen, Host of Gods enters the battlefield, or leaves, return all creatures to their owners hands besides Kellen, Host of Gods.
6/3

" When the Gods asked for their land, I was the one for the job."

Vyse, thrice
(B) (W) (U)
When Vyse, thrice enters the battlefield put a bleeding counter on up to three target creatures. (Creatures with bleeding counters have -0/-1 and cannot attack unless another creature is attacking)
At the begging of your upkeep, if Vyse, thrice is in your graveyard and a creature you control has a bleeding counter, return him to the battlefield.
3/1
"You only shiv thrice."

Coffee Vampire   {B}
---
Creature - Coffee Vampire
---
(Coffee Vampires do not count as Vampires, and are not effected by Vampire "lord effects"; Coffee Vampires are Coffee Vampires.)
If a Coffee Tree of Paradise would grow any number of Coffee Beans, it grows twice that many instead.

Thumper Gigglesworth. {G}{W}{B}{3}

When Thumper Gigglesworth enters the battlefield, put X +1/+1 counters on it where X is equal to the number of permanents in play.

When Thumper Gigglesworth attacks or blocks, remove all +1/+1 counters from it and put that many 0/1 splooge tokens with flying into play.

Sacrifice a splooge token: Return Thumper Gigglesworth from your graveyard to play.

"What's he doing?"
"I'm not sure. It LOOKS like he's doing something..."
"Ew...gross..."

My best deck (or the one i am most proud of) is my {heartless summoning} deck from this summer. The idea was play game changing creatures super early and then cheaply clone them. It was backed up by an infinite damage combo.

My card for that deck.
Kaleo the Ever Mind {2}{B}{U}
+1: Until end of turn, you may cast target creature in a graveyard by paying it's mana cost.
-3: Put a creature token into play that is a copy of target creature you control.
-6: Search target player's library or graveyard for a creature card and put it into play.

Loyalty (3)

Someone must be an Inheratence fan. I personally like the idea of having a white dragon. I assume yours would be red? And his affect kills himself because of the legendary rule...

Pickup lines are lame, never work, and are disrespectfull to women because most guys who use them only see women as blowup dolls
