Just got one for myself. It's a gift from me to me, as I don't celebrate any holidays. So far, it's glorious. Anyone else get one or try it out?
Can you give us a impartial review compared to the "old" ipad?
I've only heard the "its smaller wow" review.
Isn't this stupid? Just get a regular one.

I like that its smaller. I can read in bed. Basically I have an iPhone, but it's hard to surf the web and do everything I want on the iPhone. With the iPad mini I can surf, get my iMtG fix.
I have an Android tablet, it's just too big and heavy for what I need it for. The iPad Mini is super light (no joke, probably lighter then my iPhone 4S). Time will tell if I use it as intended, or just resort back to my iPhone, but for now I love it.
Note:
People who reference the resolution on the iPad Mini being poor aren't that far off, it's really good, but nothing like a Retina display, also, every app you have has a "HD" version specifically for the iPad. Getting far in Angry Birds Starwars? Good, buy the new version! Nothing to do with Apple but - the case selection is rather poor.
Seems more practical than the normal iPad. The iPad is fine when you're at home, but becomes a hassle when you go out in public due to its size.
IMO get a normal iPad , and or an iPhone iPads were made to have a big screen if you shrink it it's just an iPhone that can't call, other than like Skype
Id rather have the faster hardware offered in a cheaper package known as an android tablet personally ive tried apple products and they have failed to impress me as the androids are faster on every level and they actually allow me to install anything i want and mess with settings like default browser. Basically, i strongly dislike apple for overcharging for slower, locked up devices. / end rant
/shrug got an IPad I really like it. I find it very easy to use and simple. Yes it is locked and hard to add outside software. But I never had any problems of it locking or freezing that a few friends have delt with. If I had more knowledge of software I could see where the iPad is limited. But for a simple plug and play device I would recommend it.
