Hey guys,
If I sent my cards I was trading through just plain old snail mail, and it appears the cards have been lost, what do I do to find them or get a hold of them? Who am I supposed to talk to to figure this out? I sent the cards almost a month ago now and the person I'm trading with (metalmadman) wouldn't screw me over, so all I can assume is that the post office messed up. Thanks in advance for any help you guys can offer
....he wouldn't eh?
Long story short, there's been some drama with Metalmadman AKA Thatoneguyjoey. You may have joined the other people who have had cards stolen by him
I never recieved his cards or even an open envelope.

Well I'm just saying what I recall when all that drama started, I'm sure other people can vouch for him too. But if both of their cards are lost in the mail then they should probably be contacting the postal service

I asked him to send first because 1: he was a brand new member and 2: he wasn't on the trusted trader list. So since I never recieved his cards or even an envelope I just took it as a backed out of trade. No harm No foul.

then if that's the case, either he never sent or the postal service lost it, since he said he did then the next option would be to contact his local postal office and find out what happened

I just got of the phone with my post office and asked them "is there any lost mail or packages with my name and/or address on it". The post office worker said "No, but if there is any mail and/or packages that is considered undeliverable. Your post officer will give you a claim slip to come and pick it up". And I have not recieved any claim forms in the past month.
I find it curious, that as someone who sends mail almost daily, that I've never heard of packages or letters being lost indefinitely until I joined this forum. It seems to happen to EVERYONE here. 😏

You obviously haven't been to the post office in my town. They don't give a damn about anything and they wouldn't think twice about "accidentally" losing a package or envelope.

We have dealt with lost mail, but it's always either returned to the sender or arrives late. I wonder if there's a mail limbo where everyone's cards are just hanging out.
I didn't mean for this thread to generate any drama or anything with metalmadman. I'm just trying to figure out what to do, and the consensus is to call my post office and ask for undelivered packages?

First I had a deal with a eBay purchase who was a well established seller gave me the tracking code and all. The post office lost the package to this day if u look up the code it says in route for the guys home city. So USPS sucks. Second point to this is I have a friend who works in the post office and this happens all the time also it's real easy for small packages to go missing and by that I mean to "fall off the truck" as the Italian in me likes to say.

I wonder if it'd be good to work at the post office. Snag up all the cards that fall out of envelopes.
Side note: tape around the edges of your envelope and cards won't break through.
I do it with everything I send

Yeah, I guess I'm going to do this and get delivery confirmation for now on :(
I'm just bummed because my 2 Steam Vents and other cards are gone. Oh well, it's the cost of business I guess
