Title: Zendikar Boxes
Post by: Moneekahh on November 25, 2012, 02:33:45 AM
Did anyone here open up many boxes of Zendikar? I'm considering buying one at a local shop for $150. About how many fetch lands would you estimate are average per box? I opened one box of zendikar when it was in standard and got 5 fetches (one foil). I'm wondering if this is average?

Who cares lol 150 for a Zendikar box is a nice deal I'd do it just for the lands (still need more full art lands lol)

Then get it and hope for the best! At the very least I'd think you'd get Atleast 1 or 2 from a box... I've gotten like 3 and always gotten Atleast one

I have plenty of full art lands that I've been trying to unload but people don't want to trade for what they're worth!

I opened one box of zendikar with friends earlier this year. We got 1 {arid mesa}, and 2 {verdant catacombs} (1 was foil). I'm pretty just those 3.

Recently I opened a box of zendikar. I pulled:
{Arid Mesa}
{Scalding Tarn}
{Verdant Catacombs}
{Lotus Cobra}
All in about 8 or 9 packs. So I say go for it, at the least you make $36 of your value back in full art lands.

Don't push it, buddy. Some people consider this kind of jokes too close to breaking rule # 1, and that is not healthy.

If someone calls bs on this and can prove it, the guy is out of here. The guy may have pulled a fake from fake box of Zendikar, if these existed.

I've never heard of counterfeit first-print Zendikar boosters. It's so hard to counterfeit sealed boosters from this set because of the mono-silver foiling on the cover making it obvious if something was tampered with. I've been buying up as many of these first print run cards and have never run into counterfeits. I think if he can supply proof (ie him holding the card with a piece of paper proving it's him) then he should be in the clear for this.

The burden of proof is on the acuser. As a side note, evidence you describe can be very easily fabricated and even if not it would only be a proof of possession of the card, not that it was pulled from ZEN booster.

How can i prove? Also, i never thought about a fake booster, but now that I think about it I did get the pack for $2.50 on Ebay. I am gonna try to get in contact with the seller.

Yeah, if it was $2.50 it was fake.
*edit* I think if you can show like a receipt from the EBay seller this will all be cleared, if you can't procure that then you are just being a troll

Return to Ravnica, in my opinion, would you bring you the best possible value.

Edit: if you're looking at standard.

People are loving Return to Ravnica.
{Jace, Architect of Thought} is a huge money card.
{Angel of Serenity}
{Armada Wurm}
{Sphinx's Revelation} is the next big card, showing up everywhere. (I know I just mentioned 4 Mythics).

But you got the shock lands. {Detention Sphere}, {Lotleth Troll}, {Abrupt Decay}, {Supreme Verdict}. The odds are pretty high that you'll pull a card from a pack that is worth as much, or higher then the cost of the pack you pulled it from.
