Title: Help me Jester! - Diregraf Captain
Post by: SpiritedAway on January 25, 2012, 12:04:07 AM
If I {Day of Judgement} some chump with a bunch of zombies and he has a {Diregraf Captain}, do I lose life for each other zombie in play other than the Cap'n?

His ability reads exactly "Whenever another zombie you control dies, your opponent loses 1 life."

Does this work and why?

You do. Ouch!

When a bunch of things go to the graveyard at the same time, any and all triggers will be put on the stack, even if the trigger is on something dying.

CR603.6d
Example: Two creatures are on the battlefield along with an artifact that has the ability "Whenever a creature dies, you gain 1 life." Someone plays a spell that destroys all artifacts, creatures, and enchantments. The artifact's ability triggers twice, even though the artifact goes to its owner's graveyard at the same time as the creatures.

Thanks! That's perfect. Me and a friend were proxying a bunch of DA cards we want and that came up because I killed all his zombies with a bunch of spirits. Thanks.

This is why I love you. 6 months now and we had been playing where nothing triggered on mass wipes.
