Title: Aurelia, the Warleader(Gatecrash Spoiler)
Post by: prayos on November 19, 2012, 12:56:12 PM
Card Type: Legendary Creature
Creature Type: Angel
Power/Toughness: 3/4
Casting Cost: 2
Card Text: Flying, vigilance, haste
Whenever Aurelia, the Warleader attacks for the first time each turn, untap all creatures you control. After this phase, there is an additional combat phase.

Okay, lets say this is a factual spoiler.  I play Aurelia.  I have {Silverbladed Paladin} and {Geist of Saint Traft} on the field.  I enter my attack step, and declare all three as attackers.  Now, Aurelia causes me to untap them.  Does that remove them from combat, or will damage still occur since I declared attackers?  Thanks.

Yeah I think that's mostly for creatures with tap abilities

What would be the point of another combat phase if they were still tapped.  Unfailing or tapping something once it's been declared a blocker or attacker doesn't change abything
