How is this quick, earliest is turn 4 or 5. There are a lot quicker mechanics to be exploited in modern.

Probably because once this goes off, someone's going down pretty fast.
And just because its not the fastest combo doesn't mean it isn't cool! There's no speed requirement for the combo corner :P
