I'd also suggest dropping a couple {blood artist}s and adding more counterspells since theres not a lot of removal.

Don't drop blood artist. Blood artist is amazing, even in a deck with 0 removal, it just makes combat better in your favor.

Also, 8 removal spells and a sac outlet is plenty to get off a lot of artist triggers

Blood Artist is amazing, but he's going for control. Doesn't really help out with that. Just an opinion.

Control decks do use blood artist, many Grixis control lists have 4 of him, and some Esper control lists do also

I would keep blood artist and add more sac agents maybe two {Liliana of the Veil} maybe another board wipe like {Killing Wave}

{Killing Wave} with {Blood Artist} puts the player in a position where they have no choice but to lose life. Wait for them to drop a fat creature when all of their mana is spent. It isn't a typical U control deck but leaving your opponents in positions where they no longer are able to work their deck is the entire basis of control. You don't have to counter spells to control an opponent.
