I don't have a link but they just announced on the MtG Facebook page that modern will be supported at FNM starting January.

I'm not exactly sure what that means, does that mean we can play modern and type 2 in the same tourney?

It didnt specify but i wouldn't think so. It just said the format would be supported at FNM.

More likely that the stores will be able to choose which format they want to use any given Friday night.
Basically I read this as you better hope they play the type you want, or be able to go to another store that will...

Ok my LGS owner hasnt decided yet what he is going to do, but the tournament organizer has said he'd put up a fight against modern, because no matter what there will still be standard played at fnm and he hates running two tournies.
