Title: Infect replacement in Standard
Post by: Jdogtoocool on November 15, 2012, 01:20:58 PM
Turn 1. {temple garden} {arbor elf}
Turn 2. {forest} {fencing ace} {rancor}
Turn 3. {plains} {titanic growth} {giant growth}

It works only a handful of times compared to a real infect deck but still brings back the same satisfaction :p

Already made a deck just haven't got a chance to play an FNM since RTR came out.  Has to be either fencing ace or {silverblade paladin} to get the turn 3 win

However with paladin your turn 3 land has to be a forest.

You can't play a arbor elf with grove

{sunpetal grove}
No not on turn one, that's why you have to use {temple garden}. You need a turn 1. forest or temple for the combo to work, unless you want a turn 4. overkill.

Yup I'm nice like that :P Here's another one:

Turn 1. Forest {avacyn's pilgrim}
Turn 2. {Temple Garden} {silverblade paladine}
Turn 3. {cathedral of war} {titanic growth} {giant growth}

It's so dirty because nobody chump blocks a silverblade paladin that early in the game
that's when you go in for the kill.

I'm going to start chump blocking them now that I've seen this lol

Lol you probably shouldn't since I haven't seen anybody attempt to use this combo. Also I found another tweak to add to the combo but I'm gonna be a little selfish about this one :)

The combo is these exact plays that could win you the game by t3/t4.
Thats a combo. Not just synergy.
