YEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH
What do we need a military for? Waging more illegal wars around the globe? They spend billions and trillions on weapons contracts with war profiteers. Obama has done nothing, and I mean NOTHING to decrease military spending. He's only increased it and gotten us into another war.
What your mother and father think about as "Democrat" and "Republican" never existed. Barrack Obama is the greatest republican president ever.
As "conservative" republican as George W. Bush was did he: a) Repeal Roe v. Wade?, b) Lower taxes at all?, c) Deregulate anything? He's a crony capitalist like Obama. It's just Coke vs Pepsi people, just 2 choices. If you don't want soda, too bad.
Did Obama end the war in Iraq? Did he propose nearly 500 Billion in cuts to defense that the Pentagon agrees with? Did he set a timeline to pull out of Afghanistan?
Here let me answer those questions.....yes and yes and yes....so how is that not decreasing military spending???? Oh that's right the republican's want to force the defense spending down the Pentagon's throat even though the Pentagon, like they said under Bush, do not need the money......but hey let's just blame Obama for that too.

Dude he has cut the millitary big time. He has made so an E-5 can not stay in as long and E-6 too. They are trying to decrease the retirement as well. Those millitary guys and gals are willing to die for you. If we got invaded tomorrow and the president starting handing out guns to people and said go fight how many people do you know would accept the challenge. I doubt very many. Millitary will fight for whatever the reason and whatever the cost. Jobs in the military are al ways downsizing too. I love the millitary and we need it to remain the super power. Just my opinion. Sorry if you don't agree and I don't except everyone too. If all you see and read is {propaganda} than that is all you will belive the millitary is doing good things too.
Rant. I am done.
The industrial military complex.
The Afghanistan time table was set up by George W. Bush. Obama has increased surveillance, illegal wiretaps and CIA clandestine operations. He's waging a remote war using drones, he's murdered people in other countries without trial and continues to outspend every president before in on the military.
The military is not a unit kept together of people who are here to "protect" us from invasion, they serve the interests of multi-national corporations. The national guard are very helpful people, and they appear to be helping hurricane victims and keep order. What about jets bombing buildings in Afghanistan (what'd they do again?) is helping conscious creatures obtain happiness?
There is a time now that you all have to face, drones are going to become cheaper and easier to operate as the price of technology falls. Troops on the ground, with humanity and a capacity to object will not be present. Instead, war on poor people will be waged from miles away, with no retirement or benefits of any kind being given to soldiers. It will be shooting at people on a computer screen, it will be packaged and sold as "safer".
The drones will have no accountability, they will not answer for their crimes against humanity, they can lay waste to EVERYTHING efficiently and have heightened senses. If a 10 o'clock curfew is enforced they can use thermal scanning to shoot everyone, including children, and not have PTSD. They will not hear the cries or see the suffering of the lives they've effected. They will not be present at town hall meetings nor will they be voted into power.
War is a horrible, ugly thing, in the 21st century were the most "advanced" society, yet were engaged in wars in Iraq, Afganistan, and a very real War on Drugs? We wanna go into Iran too? What kind of people are we? What does this say about us? The interests of the people financing the wars and profiting from them isn't "let's kill poor people half way across the globe to make us safer".

Explain this then. How can you honestly say he has spent more on the military than any other president. Do you know where these budgets have to originate from? I will give you a hint, it's not the president as he can only give recommendations and lobby for those recommendations to go forward. Please tell me if you know where the budgets have to originate from and I will enlighten more on the process.
He can use his veto powers. He should lessen his executive powers that Bush seized. He should use his platform to renounce illegal wire tapping. He should use it to detest Internet censorship. He should use it to help civilizations and not murder them (murder is the correct word).
Instead we get someone, by all objective measures has outspent everyone ever during his administration. Do I care who's fault it is? No. It's the system, the system corrupts people. If Romney won I'd have the exact same rant. Obama can't do anything, his hands are tied, the things he can do he doesn't. Romney the same thing.
The House of Representatives is where those budgets must originate from and the House has a majority republican control. They have fought against him on everything and essentially veto'd his proposals and/or the congressional side republicans just filibuster anything that could pass that would make Obama look good. They don't care how bad the economy gets so long as they can get him out of office and now those vindictive fools will be even more obstinate since he won again. So yes I agree that there is a lot the president can't control and we should expect more of the same.

How would you like to be blown up by a terrorist while on a plane? Biologically attacked and killed? Blown up by an atom bomb? Enslaved and mistreated? Murdered because you don't believe in whatever religion?
Think about the people who have to face that every day. They can't do much to help themselves. Wouldn't you want someone else to help you? The world would be a better place if we just helped our neighbors. This includes your next door neighbors, your neighbors half way around the world and any one else for that matter.
Do unto others as you would have done for your self.

Do not let any politicians use of these words fool you. Anything a politician says can be only half the truth. Do not lose sight of the freedoms we were given in the constitution our founding fathers gave to us. (Personally every one should have voted for Santa clause)
I don't know if it's just my brain not working right or not, but it sounds like everyone is arguing against themselves. I read through all of that and I am no more enlightened than I was before...
I voted Green Party lol. You guys are crazy!

As someone who was in Iraq at the time, in combat ironically at the same time he gave the speech saying that combat had ended in Iraq..and whom knows people that have been deployed to Iraq in the last couple months, I have to say no, no, and no to your questions. What the media reports and what really is are rarely the same.
Obama ended the wars in the same manner W. Bush did with "Mission Accomplished", as in, not at all.

That is exactly what I am Talking about. Obama just didn't have a banner. Only difference.
Hey don't u guys know about the secret government? No matter who gets elected the powerful elites behind the scenes still get their agenda through. The president has no power. Just a show for people like u guys in hear to argue and waste time over. It's a soap opera
Yeah and they're slowly killing us off while making a clone army and printing bills with the face of barney.

I prefer facts to theories, but I am definitely starting to feel that way. Ever since the really shady events surrounding the Kennedy assassination and the red shield response.
I served in Iraq in 2005-2006. The fact is the mission is a lot different then it was when I was there. There is a much smaller force as well. I am not going to argue this anymore though so...

When has the ticking time bomb ever occurred? When does people metaphorically being blown up on a plane ever refer to people being blown up in real life? We are, as Americans, killing innocent people. If you support the military (which I do, only because I don't like dead people) you support murder.
