Rakdos you can, I'm not sure about slaughter games. Redirect isn't a "counter" so I don't know.

Would you be able to name a new card? Or does the original chosen card stay the same?

When you copy a spell, you do everything in the rules text. So yeah you would.

Btw looked in rulings. Apparently you could not pick a new option for a charm.

Redirect doesn't copy. Just changes the target.

So even though slaughter games and rakdos return say target opponent you can redirect them back to them even though they wouldn't be an opponent and thus an invalid target?

Cant redirect an "opponent" spell to its original caster.

So . . . Choose a new card for a {redirect}ed {slaughter games}? I'm thinking no . . .

Afraid not. Targets and elements (like the named card) are chosen when it goes on the stack. While you can redirect the target player, the named card is still already determined and isn't a "target" to be changed by the redirect.

Right that's what I thought.
