This is an extremely reactive deck, and while proactive cards like Jace can be amazing and would help in some match ups, the fundamental idea of always being a poor match up for the opponent would be damaged and could severely hurt the continuity of the deck.
No jace? Even a little jace would do well with the Rip + Jace mill!
