Vintage has a banned and restricted list. Restricted means you can have 1 copy in your deck.

Legacy has only a banned list.

In Vintage the only banned cards are dexterity cards ({Chaos Orb}) and ante cards ({Demonic Attorney}).

Everything else like {Black Lotus} and {Tinker} is restricted. It's a less popular format because of the even greater then normal cost and schenanigans

Vintage = $10,000+
Legacy = $500-$3,000+
