Just what the title says. Sure there are a couple of artifact birds that are black, strix I think they are called, but what of birds that are actually black permanents. I'm trying to build a black, blue, white bird deck that uses soul catchers arie as its win condition and was wondering if there are birds in black or if I'm just wasting my time. It uses that strix that drains life, the one with death touch, and giant albatross so far.
Doesn't look like filtered black word bird and nothing.
There 12 black 2 UB and 1 RB. Once you go to the card data base you can filter by selecting type then black. Then just type in bird.
While there aren't many birds in black, the strix birds like {baleful strix} are solid cards. But most of your creature base is going to come from white and blue in this case. Black is always still useful in removal, so don't worry about black being a useless color if you're set on Esper colors.
B-B-B-B-Bird is word.
{Soulcatchers' Aerie}
You could run {Circling Vultures}, {Pit Raptor}, {Screeching Buzzard} for some black birds that also go along with your strategy.
Yea. I thought about those. Though I am also building a non-black bird deck too. I was just wanting to know if there were any good options. Thanks.
Oh, an how do you think a deck like this would do in tornaments...hey, I could protect soul catchers arie with dovescape!
Since you're using soul catcher and feather counters, {aven mimeomancer} and wayd to move counters around seems like some interesting synergy. Add ping effects like {Viridian longbow}, {staff of Nin}, or {thornbite staff} and you can use the mimeomancer's feather transformation ability as a kill.
Oh. Also there is a new card in the return to ravnica set. It brings back all creatures from the graveyard. Have a lot of feather counters on soul catchers arie and....muahahahahahahaha! Of course, you HAVE to be mindfull of what your opponent/s have
