Title: Budget Legacy?
Post by: Guitello on November 05, 2012, 12:23:34 AM
Ive been looking to get into legacy for a while, but don't have $1000 to dump on some of the top tier decks like countertop or Stone Blade. Are there any legacy deck archetypes that are both competitive, and can be made for under $350?

Elves, Burn, Merfolk, Affinity. Mono colored stuff. Once you get into decks like Hive Mind and Stoneblade you need Dual Lands, Fetchlands, and {Force of Will}

Mono red burn can be real cheap and effective with cards like {blood moon} and {price of progress}

I like {R}{U} affinity with a splash of {B} for {cranial plating} and a splash of {W} for {steelshapers gift} to help fetch the plating.  Cards like {Mox opal} and {springleaf drum} will help with mana issues and then you just attack with a {signal pest} equipped with the plating and use {galvanic blast} and {shrapnel blast} to send damage direct to your opponent.

I just made a storm deck for about 200 bucks. Use goggle. I think that is the best way.
