{inviolability} + {palisade giant}
I don't get it.

{palisade giant} takes all the damage your opponent throws at you. {inviolabilty} prevents it all, keeping the giant around.
Could also run with {kjeldoran royal guard}

But you have to tap. :(
Also {Darksteel Plate}

Indestructible is more useful considering field wipes but less useful against infect and wither.
{Ghostly Possession}
Useful, but creature dies from direct damage like {bonfire of the damned} and {mizzium mortars}
Ghostly possession gives the same things plus flying {Ghostly Possession} except you can't do damage. Still a good card. I put it on my kraken hatchling and in the first 3 turns I have a flying creature that I can count on. Personally I am getting a couple {Fog Bank}s that are really cool.
{ghostly possession} says combat damage. Dies from direct damage.
{Palace guard} + {Ghostly possesion} is one of my favorite. Or {Spirit mantle}
This works the same with {Cho-Manno, Revolutionary} and {Pariah}. So much fun :)
Give it hexproof and I'd say you got it locked down.
