{Worldgorger Dragon} + {Worldfire}. Thinking about making a casual deck with this as the combo. Cast {worldgorger dragon}, exile all my permanents. Next turn, {worldfire} and its gg if i gain some haste creatures back.
O-ring an infermo titan eliminates 6 opponents in one swoop

Yeah i thought about adding {W} for o-rings and {cloudshift}. From what i understand, i could cloudshift a creature of mine, {worldfire} in response, worldfire resolves and then cloudshift resolves, giving me my creature back. Am i understanding that correctly?
Well if you can flash in worldfire why not cast {geistflame} or something first? :P
But either way if you cloudshift a creature then flash worldfire you would exile everything before your cloudshift. When cloudshift resolves theres no legal target left so it fizzles.

Ah i see. I have a few other combos that i could use as win cons for the deck. Such as {worldgorger dragon} + {fling}. Drop the dragon, hit for 7 next turn, then fling it.
Just saying, how would you cast world fire when all your stuff is exiled with worldgorger?

Youre abosutely right. I didnt think about that. Back to the drawing board.
Only way I see it working is you tapped 15 mana. Payed 6 for the dragon.. Everything gets exiled then use the leftover 9 to world fire.
Lol, 9 mana left over. Possible if you defender ramp in standard, but kinda tough otherwise
Don't get me wrong. Very unrealistic. But that's all I can think of lol

Just to clear this up (based on the OP's {Cloudshift} idea): Worldfire is a sorcery. Without a {Quicken}-like effect, you cannot do it "in response to" anything.
How do you intend to {Fling} it next turn with no land? Drop a couple lands after playing the dragon?
I wasnt thinking about lands getting exiled.
Ya if you worldgorger first, than worldfire, you get your lands back, and if one of them is a shivan gorge, blammo, 1 damage. That Is a lot of ifs and alot of eggs in baskets though...
RUG Defender ramp deck with {Alchemist's Refuge} and {Lobber Crew}.
But alchemist's refuge isn't a spell...
that's how to make a worldfire deck work in standard.
So what's with the lobber?
I dropped the original deck idea and made it standard RBW. O-ring a {geralf's messenger} and then drop {worldfire}. Its just plenty of burn spells plus {guttersnipe} if the worldfire takes to long to get out. Might also try the defender ramp idea.
ramp up with combinations of {Axebane Guardian}, {Doorkeeper}/{Hover Barrier}, {Gatecreeper Vine}, then when you're ready, tap the {Lobber Crew} to put 1 damage to all opponents on the stack, use the Refuge to flash in Worldfire and boom.

{Doorkeeper}
Mike Wazowski!
But for real, that looks like it would be a lot of fun.
Going blue also gives you access to {Dispel} for the critical moment.
Yeah the more i think about it, the more it seems to be the way to go.
