Title: Platinum Angel & Door
Post by: prayos on October 28, 2012, 01:09:03 AM
{Platinum Angel}
{Door to Nothingness}

If my opponent has the angel out, and I play the door, which cards ruling do we go by.

Both but Angel wins. Door says "player loses" angel says "I can't lose" so door is sad.

Angel will trump the door.  "Can't" always beats "Can" in magic if there's a conflict. In this case, the door will attempt to say "you lose the game." But if the angel is out, it says "Nope. Can't allow that." And the door fails, sacrificing for nothing unless the angel is dealt with before the door's effect resolves on the stack.

Pfft, scars and your "efficient" shorter answers beating me to it :P

Lately I've been doing more just answer the question and less quote the rulings. It's easier and if people need rulings they can just ask as a follow up.

Half the time if you quote the rules they'll just ask for the simple explanation anyways lol. Being concise saves everyone some time.
