If there are 2 {Havoc Festival} active a players life is halved twice right?
No its their whole life. ;D
But yeah halved once then half of the new health again.
That's how I thought it would work , but wasn't sure about so I was looking for clarification lol, thanks for the clarification :) but my duel buddies won't be thankful though lol hahaha rakdos all the way :)
I'd like to ad on to this with another question...
I have {havoc festival} out and {tree of redemption}. Beginning of my upkeep my life goes from say 20 to 10. I tap the the tree, the only effect that happens is that the tree goes from 13 toughness to 10 toughness for the remainder of the turn?
Because in the rulings for the tree, it explains that I will gain life/lose life to get equal to the trees toughness. Is that just the wording they used or is there actually a gain/lose effect going on. I thought an exchange like that wouldn't be gain or lose... And yes I'm trying to make the festival work
Sorry, the changing life totals count as life gain and loss and are stopped by the festival. I believe it's in the rulings on the tree.

I don't think so, {Soul Conduit} has the same effect and doesn't involve either player gaining or losing life, just exchanging. So it should work fine

You are correct that it functions in the same way that soul conduit does. Except you are wrong on how it functions.
If you read the rulings on both of the cards it says that it is life gain/life loss. And that triggers that will occur when these happen, will trigger as a result.
Yea I thought so. Thanks guys just wanted more opinions and thoughts. So much for that idea...
You can use that ruling to your advantage though. If you tap {tree of redemption} for it's effect and your life total is 3 you (by the rules of magic) GAIN 10 life. Add {rhox faithmender} and instead you gain 20 life making your new life total 23 and the tree's toughness 3.
That does work but not what I want to do.
I want to fog and defend while havoc fest rips my opponent apart. Was hoping the tree could help with the life problem
If it's not standard, your deck could use {Platinum Emperion}.
