Title: Really???
Post by: Onenation55 on October 22, 2012, 12:26:05 PM
Ok guys I'm tire of trying to get a trade going only to get denied because someone else tells me that they are using tcg player or some other weird website. I use starcitygames because they don't price cards based on what another shop can sell them for. Shops have sells all the time. Stg uses base price for the card an card only other stores base their own card prices from stg. So if you stop trying to twist the deal in your favor I'm not ripping anybody off. I'm a trusted trader. If you base your cards of tcg then go buy them and get off this forum. Sorry to everybody else having to read my little rant lol. :p

I think it's pretty widely accepted to use TCGPlayer mid price because it takes a large sample of various stores. Starcity is one store so they adjust their prices based on their inventory. I think you're backwards about your claim... TCGPlayer is a large collection of vendors so it represents a wide range of available cards. Of course you are welcome to use whatever method you want for your trades but don't be surprised when you use one thing and 90% of the rest of the community uses something else.

Starcitygames prices are generally even higher than the average of TCGPlayer.

Everyone has there own mesurements.
I prefer to go by the prices in this app! It makes sense because both parts are using the same price scale!
If you want to use another price scale then you tell people before you offer a trade. Its not the other persons fault if you're picky.

When you compare TCG, SCG, troll an toad, SCG is higher on almost everything.

I did this cause I had a few people wanting to trade me. And the trade was stupid. He wanted my Bloodcrypt which he valued at 9 dollars! For his detention sphere. Bloodcrypt is not 9 dollars and he was using another price.

Then just say no to the trade and move on. It's important to make sure you're using the same yardstick when you're taking a measurement... You know what I mean?

All in all isn't trading a neigoation. You can say yes or no. You can also make your own terms. If both people agree in the end is all that matters. I've trade things before we went back and forth a bunch of times. Sometimes we agreed and others was a waste of time. I wouldn't take it personally just say we cannot agree and move on to the next one and maybe not spend so much time dealing with them again. Or start out saying this is what I value my cards at and if you don't agree let's not waste each others time.

Ladies and gentlemen... Maybe I should not say that but u are trying to discuss same unnecessary topic again and again...

OMG u r part of one community here, mostly people want to change cards bcs they need them for their decks and it does not matter which price list u will use... If both sides of the trade will use SCG price list and willl change cards by cards u will have same result in change ratio as with another price list...

Most of the players (99,9 %) are here to have wider change market not to ripp somone off anything...

Wake up guys... Those childish topics like he valued this piece by this price and I have it in my PL with this price are simply crap... You should grow up... All of us want to enjoy the game and help each other and there is always a way how to agree on trade...

There is no need to post topics like this one...

Its common knowledge that most people on here use TCG. Its kind of buttholish to expect someone to change the way they do things, when their way has seemingly been unproblematic with other people, just because you want to be different. Why wouldnt you use TCG anyways? Its on this app so you can conveniently knock everything all out at once. Star City isnt the end all, be all.

Mhmm ebay has nice prices... Agree on that but check who is selling there? 80 percent of sellers on ebay or amazon are shops that sell also through TCG... Ikke sant...? :D
