Try {Fungal Sprouting} instead of {Gather the Townsfolk}, sure it's twice the mana, but it makes huge difference later in the game if you have a champion or monk out.
Also have {Healer of the Pride} in your sideboard for some quick recovery if someone hits you hard early.

Oh and why not run {Odric, Master Tactician} and {Druids' Repository} as I doubt you will only be attacking with 1 creature. :)
