Title: Inquisitor Flail and first-strike
Post by: Condor-Wingman on January 11, 2012, 01:59:27 PM
If I equip an {Inquisitor Flail} on a creature that has first-strike, will it receive the double combat damage to itself or not. Since it does not receive damage, unless it battles a creature with first-strike or better? Also, if the creature had double-strike, would its damage output be up to 8x, since the equipment gives double damage, and the creature does 4x damage, itself? If someone has asked this before, sorry about the duplicate post/question. Thanks for your input, fellow members.

If the equipped creature kills the blocker first (if the blocker does not have first strike), then the dead creature will not deal any damage back.

If it has double strike, it will deal 2x damage in the first combat damage step, then deal another 2x in the second combat damage step.  (2X2=4 times regular damage, so we're clear.)

If you can throw Trample into the mix... :o
