Same not to long ago I reread the first 3 Ender books. Then the last book I read was "unholy knight" I think is what it was called. That was in May I think. I wasn't big in reading unless I knew I would love the book. I'll look into "The mark of athena"

Seems like the only thing I've been able to finish in a couple years is The Dresden Files simply because I know they're all amazing books.  I started reading one of the MtG novels, but I never finished it.  I don't know why, its really good actually.

Yes those were good books.  The last book was somewhat of a dissapointement though.

I think actually Paolini grew up a lot for his last book. The Inheritance series is maybe my favorite collection, and i think Inheritance (the book this time) was the best individual book of all 4. It was very concise, with clues to what would happen, realism, a real storyline and a believable ending, while it had amazing moments, I honestly think the only thing it could work on would be the ending, which I think should have more detailed information in the years which passed. Maybe a chapter more. I do understand why it would cause disappointment though, as the first 3 books were much more romantic (which attracted most readers, specially the juvenile public, which is eragon's focus), and the fourth was somewhat more tending to realism, but that is why i point out Paolini's got more mature in the last book. Everything does NOT go right like in every other book ("OH, but brom died, and arya rejected him, and he lost his family, and, it wasnt everything right!" you might say. Well, i say brom had the most honorable death Paolini could think of, and thus opened the path fo Eragon to learn more, and also it was almosta magic moment in his life. His uncle died giving Eragon a reason to fight, and directly creating empathy with Eragon and hate for Galbatorix, while his cousin had it to muster all his village and actually didnt even feel that much with his death because he just accepted it. And arya, well, Paolini made clear she felt something for him, andit wasn`t really a final answer. Then, i can argu on your every other 'bad moment' in the first 2 books. On the third, murtagh had something of a bad moment already, and that is all). I disliked the change in writing style between the 3 first books and the fourth, but i think it would definitely have been the best serie i would have ever read with no contest if it was somewhat more like the fourth book in all of its books. That is why Game of Throne is such a good series, it shows us much more of the real world interactions, though with some exagerations.

Very very good points. There is a maturity to Paolini's writing that you just do not see in the other three books.
