Counter spells are fairly weak right now. Draw card and life gain however make quite an impact on te game. The fact you use snap caster is good justification to run a coulpe counters however.
I would drop the {thought scour} and {dissipate} and a land and add 3x {azorious keyrune}, 1x {sphinx's revelation}, and 1x {think twice}. The keyrune's allow for slight ramp and can serve as an alternate win con. The power of the revelation is absolutely amazing. And think twice pulls more than scour.
Also have you experienced the sheer power of {cyclonic rift} yet?
I was using thought scour on myself with the combo of snap since its like a dig card. But I agree with sphinx's revelation. I know how valuable life is especially at instant speed. I haven't been digging the counters tbh and was thinking of trying without.
I find snap to have a place here since he helps with narrow margin as a blocker and of course flashback of charm to harass heavy Aggro deck.
I think it needs an other finisher or 2. Like {Isperia, Supreme Judge} and {Drogskol Reaver}.

Um i say no. This deck would benifit from another entreat, but not a conventional creature. In strong control decks the bombs must have some of these qualities: instant game state change, extreme evasion, recursion of some kind, or extreme value ({armada wurm} and {entreat the angels})
The only problem I see in he deck is you lose to any deck that runs [slaughter games]
:( but his is tue with any deck that runs so little win conditions I see how you like u/w control but the real control deck to beat right now is bant but that's just my opinion ;)

I dont think {slaughter games} will destroy you too bad, because your opponent will be forced to choose between stopping your early game, most annoying answer, and your end game. That decision alone will probably cost your opponent the game since there is no perfect choice. He does bring up a truly valid concern though, {witchbane orb} should probably find a place in your sideboard.
What about running a fatty? I like angel in here since it removes annoying opponents stuff but I've returned 2-3 snaps of mine this way. I'd like to run 3 entreats but I'm never ready for it when I draw it seems.

Thats a good game two option with the geists, but youll lose the heart of the deck pretty quick if you start placing aggro elements. The keyrunes should be solving this problem since they get you more prepared for entreat and can attack on a freshly wrathed field.
I like revelation, I played a burn deck and with 2 and snaps I played it 4 times and got through most of my deck. I would like to get it fine tuned but I can see BANT being better because of far seek and thragtusk
Have you seen my living on a whim deck? If not take a look at it and ask about some of my choices and how things are going. I feel that my provide some more insight.

Seems like UW control that I would not like to Face... ;D I have tried imagine how it could play against my agrro and mid-range deck and both projections did not look nice for me... Hope that norwegians are not so good in digging the deck ideas on web...:D
I will say, Thragtusk is rough to deal with, but then again a lot of decks can say that. Since its played a lot, my actual sideboard has 4 dissipates for things like that. Jund zombies on the play are rough too, 3 1 drops by t2 is very hard to deal with. If I play Aggro I am siding 2 more sphinx revelation because those are pretty substantial.
Besides that, it works pretty well. I rarely entreat for miracle since I'm drawing multiple cards at a time with sphinx which I've considered revamping.
I think BANT control is a little better because of {far seek} and {Thragtusk}
I side revelation against Aggro. 1 board wipe and stabilize and it's game over. Loving this build. 6-0 tonight. I almost don't even need the jaces lol. I take a board wipe t4 rather than jace
Let a guy think he was winning last night.
He had {ajani caller of the pride} out slowly +1+1 his creatures. I have azorius charm with snapcaster and hit my land drop every turn. So after I run out of toying with him, he's got about 3-4 creatures
Out and 26 life. I {terminus} to get rid of {Thalia guardian of thraben} (YUCK} then he cracks ajani for 26 cats. I start lol'ing. I pass the turn with 6 cards in hand with about 8 lands and {azorius keyrune} he attacks and says "GG?" I'm like trololol {cyclonic rift} overload. Next 2 turns I {entreat the angels} for 5 each.
Good times
Oh and I faced the potential worst enemy of this deck, jund zombies. T1 {grace crawler} with t2 {diregraf ghoul} and another GC, t3 {rancor} and {rakdos cackler} I use my {azorius charm} shenanigans then miracle {terminus} I draw into snap caster and {sphinx's revelation} he leaves after I gain 4 life 2 turns in a row XD

About counter spells, did you see Todd Anderson's UWR tempo? He sticks something to the board and counters pretty much every big threat. They're sayin it's going to redefine standard.
I need another win con. I played a mirror except he splashed black for Drownyard. Everyetime I played Entreat he detention sphered or supreme judgement.
