Ok, so I have decided to build an Izzet burn/control deck. Any suggestions on how to try to craft this?
My izzet deck is like three down from here.
Well there are many options. {guttersnipe} is a must have in almost all izzet decks. I just made a delver-like deck with {goblin electromancer}, {snapcaster mage}, and the snipe as the only creatures. {thoughtflare} is amazing no matter how you build an izzet deck, but how many varies from build to build. {epic experiment} makes for some silly interactions with the snipe. {bonfire of the damned} and {temporal master}, not to mention {rewind} are pretty good with the electromancer. {pillar of flame} calls for a spot in at least sideboard. {mizzium mortars} and {cyclonic rift} are both great for keeping you alive as you set up to burn the opponent to ashes.
Now the real fun comes from {gilded lotus}. {deadeye navigator} and {zealous conscripts} make for infinite mana and silliness. {ghosty flicker} and {archaeomancer} make for infinite instant casting which can couple with {talrand, sky summoner} for never-ending flyers, the electromancer for infinite mana, and of course snipe for infinite damage.
