Sealed Naya AVR 6-0 out of 64 people
Draft AVR mono black 6-0 64 people
Draft AVR UR 4-0 32 people.

Then I'd say about 75% time I place outside 1st between 2-4th

5-0-1 (intentional match draw for 1st) at M13 release for sealed would be my best. I got lucky with a foil {thundermaw hellkite}, who worked like a dog to win me that event before I traded him while he was hot.

Gone 5-0 twice in drafts (including this last Friday! Go izzet!), and a couple more 4-0-1 intentional draws in drafts.

Last week was my best with a 3-0 in the matches and only lost one game.  But that was only my second draft 😜. I was traveling for work and had the time.  Now back to my regular scheduled program with my wife, kids, work, and hopefully I will have time next year since my MBA will finally be finished 🎓🎉

Why did you intentionally draw?

If you and you opponent are the only 2 undefeated players on the last round, if you draw, you both mathematically are guaranteed to get 1st and 2nd, splitting the prize of those 2 positions evenly between you.

If you DON'T split, the person who wins gets more prize packs, and the person who loses can potentially be bumped so far down in the ranks that they get practically nothing.

Now, not everyone agrees on this but here's how I feel about IMDs. It's not about security, its about being generous and courteous with your opponent. You both did really well to get there, and if I win, I don't think my undefeated opponent deserves to get 8th place and 1 measly pack just because of how swiss-style tiebreakers work. I don't care if I get less. I do care if someone who earned it gets screwed out of what they deserve.

And it's not totally selfless, I am human after all. The security of knowing if I get mana screwed or something in the finals, its a relief. Magic is fundamentally a friendly game, and it lets me play that last round more relaxed. If I'm lucky enough to IMD with a friend, we can really chill while we play our match.

The Return the Ravnica prerelease sealed event, choosing Selensya and playing Rakdos, I went 5-1.

Last Friday RtR draft I went 6-0 undisputed. Didn't even lose a game. 😝

Hmm.
My lgs owner said if she ever caught someone doing that she'd disqualify them.

I don't see why. But it's her shop, her rules I suppose. None of the 5 lgs's I've been to have minded, and in some cases expect or even encourage IMD or splitting / "chopping." (Derived from a poker term, "chopping the blinds")

Keep in mind that things are different with different types of brackets and different scales of tournament play. A chop in a casual swiss-style modified bracket FNM is one thing, but you won't be seeing it in a Grand Prix or pro tour.

Anyway, should we delve deeper into this topic, i think it merits its own thread. I don't want to hijack this one like a {BlackJester} anymore ;)

Hah, that's usually how it goes for me.

"This deck is awful!" = win
"Oh man, I love my deck this week, I'm gonna do great" = get my booty kicked

My best record was 5-1-1 at a PTQ. Last match before top 8 me and the other undefeated drew so we could go get something to eat. Top 8 wound up being another draft and I lost first round. Stupid crappy packs!

Well, my worst draft record was day two of GP Boston. Only time it sucked to be in a pod with pro players lol.

You could report her to the DCI for that, you know. It is tge rules of the game. You can do anything in a tourney as long as bith players agree to it. For christ sakes, two people once made an agreement to both mull to zero in a pro tour vintage match and at the first round of a GP me and my opponent agreed that we both start the game with a  {Tamiyo, the Moon Sage} emblem 😝

That is awesome about mulling to zero!! Totally legal. However it is against the rules to start with an emblem. Taking mulligans is within the rules of magic, while starting with a leyline of "i win" is not within the rules, no matter how many players agree to it. ;)

It actually is legal. Asked one of the judges at the event. Also, mulling to zero is usually not legal either.
