I think Grixis will be the new power house in standard. So I built this.

Have you tested {Heartless Summoning} in the deck yet? It's completely bonkers with that lich! I'd take out the X1 counters and the temporal mastery and see how it goes.

I agree with grixis being good. However, your card selection isn't that good.

{desperate ravings} is really bad

So is {nicol bolas}

Why no{bonfire of the damned}?

I'm not sure why {havengul lich} is in this deck either.

The 3 "bad" cards you named are good cards. And there are no bonfire's in here because I don't own any.

In case you haven't read hanvagels ability, I can bring back any of my creatures with him or an opponents for that matter. That's why he's in here. Including creatures put into the grave with {Desperate Ravings}.

He lets you cast them. So add {1} to whatever creature you want and you can cast them yes.

Mizzium mortars is going to be better than bonfire in this deck. Bonfire is risky and there isn't deck manipulation to set it up. Mortars can be excellent spot removal by itself or become a sweet board whipe on turn six its more reliable an u are almost garenteedto have the three red because all the duels tap for it

Any red deck with 22+ lands should run bonfire. It's proven to be the most powerful card in standard. Later the game goes the better the value of the card is. Although I will say with dig cards like {forbidden alchemy} it's not very good since you aren't drawing.

I actually want bonfires for this deck, but the mortars are cheaper and still boss. So I went with them.
