Title: Banding and exalted
Post by: Quackmaster5 on October 04, 2012, 09:12:34 PM
Ok. So before everyone decides to ignore this thread automatically, I want to preface this with a "I'm curious therefore I'm asking"

Would exalted work with a band? Because technically they attack as ONE so only one creature is really attacking. But I don't think this holds up. Just thought it might be a good banding combo.

No. Exalted only applies when a creature attacks alone. Banding requires both the creature with banding and the creature it's banding with which is more than one.

Damn. I thought it would be a sick combo. Oh wells. I figured it wouldn't work that way. I was praying to The Eldrazi that BJ would come in and say "why yes?!? Yes it does!!!!"

I was just recently schooled for rules so he still could say it's legal if it is, however my understanding of banding would lead me to believe that exalted doesn't apply.

Exalted only cares if a single creature attacks. banding has them attack as multiple creatures but it's considered one group. So with my simple knowledge of rules. I'd say no, just based on wording.

Pffft, "understanding of banding". No such thing exists, completely.

NEVER!!!!!!

Ill find something someday!!!! Just you wait! Someday, a set will come out and banding will come back as a legacy powerhouse. And people will say "why didn't we believe????" And I will stand there proud, clutching my deck that everyone will only wish they had made so long ago. And then beautiful women will do so many pleasu--

Dammit. Dream bubble just popped. 😑
