How can you hate on the swords?  I hope they make more they are some of my favorite cards in magic.  I just need the {sword of light and shadow} to complete the collection but I do not think it is worth $30.

I'm hoping for more to be made as well

I just see them thrown in without creativity. I agree they are awesome but in don't like they way they are carelessly thrown into decks, both good and bad.

Technically there could be 10 Swords of ___ & ___ altogether, seeing as how they're two color combos, but the 5 Swords that they have now are all enemy duals. And I think that's all there is going to be sadly.

True I have to say I don't like the way feast and famine gets thrown around so much

Maybe Validan doesn't like it when people throw {Feast or Famine} around. ;)

They are stand alone cards especially feast and famine.  You can turn any color into a semi-discard deck and you un-tap lands....why not put it in a deck?  I won't put the swords in a deck unless I have some double strike guys....for obvious reasons :)

Personally, I put every sword I own into different decks. The power level on those things is through the roof, and frankly, the only deck I wouldn't put a sword in is a creatureless deck. But I only play casual.

I think this is what my brother means, you don't necessarily have to have a unique idea or a good combo in your deck, just fill it it swords and now you have a deck that can stomp. Safe from originality or character of course.

Well, for some players it's not about originality or character. They just like to beat down!  (not this jester tho! ;) )

Am I the only one who wished Sword of War and Peace had a lightning helix type of effect?  Not that the actual effect is bad.  I just wish it had a consistent amount of burn/ life gain, like 3 for 3, or something like that.  Seems most times when I use it I never get more than 4 out of it if I'm lucky anyways.

With {Sword of War and Peace} they had to do something different, otherwise it would have been to close to {Sword of Fire and Ice}. None of the swords have the same effects per color. Directed damage had already been done with Fire and Ice (Which is the best sword IMO). Besides, {Lightning Bolt} as a side effect? Are you kidding me? OP much?

Put it on a double striker and you will find yourself gaining double and dealing double

Are they worth playing?  Or only if you have Swords?  (I'm curious)

Also, I love {Mirran Crusader} with the {Sword of War and Peace}.  What's that?  Protection from WBRG?  Mwahaha!

I think they are worth playing on a 0/0 germ token if you have to....my point is to just reap twice the reward when you can :)

What is this {Drogskol Reaver}? The link leads to another creature, and I can't find it in the database.
