Title: Is GWB playable?
Post by: Danielkix on September 30, 2012, 02:31:48 AM
With RtR out I usally play GW but at the prerelease I splashed in black and BG and enjoyed it and it seemed kinda solid. I want to look into building a GWB deck but
my friend says its a bad idea and GW and GB have totally different strategies. If i find the right cards to mix is GWB something tht can be solid or am I wasting time?

Yes. GWB is decent. White removal, black removal, green fatties

Daniel you need to beatthe friend over the head with an RTR box and then kick his  with GWB!

Your friends are wrong, GWB (junk) will be extremely viable.

I have a feeling Junk Tokens are going to be quite good with things like Selensya, {intangible Virtue} and Sorin Loi all on the table.

He's takes magic really serious and my friends have mentioned he gives bad advice to not have competition. Hmm. I'll wait and see some GWB decks people make to get ideas because I have no idea where id begin

I did pretty good with a GWB deck at the pre-release, but it wasn't a great pull. I would have preferred a splash of red instead of a full blown tri-color deck.

GBW Tokens is great. Combine some selsenya builds with BW tokens/humans and you got yourself some awesome.

I just played a junk deck in a booster draft, went 3-0, and won 1st place.  You have removal, lifegain, flyers, cheap big creatures, tokens, and scavenge is decent.
