Title: Sword of Body and Mind
Post by: Pakamper on January 05, 2012, 11:11:05 PM
If you read the ability closely it seems that it would help you of its on an opponets creature but I believe its against the rules. So my question is; Can you equip {Sword of Body and Mind} to an opponets creature?

Equipment can only be equipped to your creatures. I was wondering that too when I saw {Grafted Exoskeleton}. ;P

Hmmm, not entirely.  You can only pay the equip cost to attach it to a creature you control, but there are ways to attach equipment to a creature you don't control.

{Ogre Geargrabber}
{Magnetic Theft}
and my favorite
{Vulshok Battlemaster}

It still just seems so odd.

It is odd, but true. If you steal an equipped creature, control of the equipment doesn't change, but the equipment stays attached until they can attach it to a new creature.

Wait, why exactly would you want your opponents creature to have pro green+blue, mill you for a sixth of your deck and get a token?

Since you still control the sword, if the creature hit you, you would mill and get a token.

It still just seems silly espcially sence your opponet will most likely not want to steal it because it helps you.

Silly things can happen in the game of Magic.  ;D

You could put it on one of their creatures.  Again, who knows why, just that you can.
