So I was looking to do this event but busy Saturday night so I'm gonna miss it. I couldn't choose a guild so I just went with all five. It comes in a guild box and looks nice. Can't wait to open and see what other stuff comes in it.
$30 is too steep for a set I'm not too particularly excited about. Gatecrash, however, is a different story.
I wanted to go pretty bad. But bills and such have me tied down. The actual release ill probably go to, it i can.
My prerelease is Sunday so no spoilers!!!! I have a question though. It was rumored that we are getting guild specific spin downs. Is that true? Or is it just rumor?
Guild specific? Probably not, but yes we for sure get spin downs (while supplies last).

There were 75 people at my LGS prerelease. It was pretty fun for my first prerelease but I took off after the first round. I got the Azorious box and the nice promo that came with it. I pulled a {Steam vents} and {Sphinx's Revelation} out of it. So I can't complain.

Did midnight Pre release with Azorius, 3 win, 1 tie, 1 loss. Came back for 2HG at 10am, with GW with B splash partnered with UR with B splash, we won 2 from 3. Guild specific spin downs included in the packs, but $35 each here in Oz. Finished the 2HG games with {Armada Wurm} and {Angel of Serenity}... Good fun night, my first Pre release, and my first 2HG. The 40 card format is fun, a good leveller.
Went 3-2 with Izzet games I lost were blow outs. I got 3 Izzet gates counterflux 3 essence backlash I had no choice but to try control
My friend that works at my LGS offered to cover the $30 entry for me. I made plans with my wife already because I wasn't planning on going in the first place and she'd kill me if I canceled 😢😢😢😢

Got {hallowed fountain}, {detention orb}, {dreadbore}, {abrupt decay}. Not too bad overall!
I'd have done it for two Seasons and a Hierarch too.
Trading a card that will drop in value for 3 cards that hold value = not getting jacked.

Vraska will crash Within a month or so and he will be left holding perma $$$ cards. He got the better deal. At the prerelease I traded my dread bore and $10 for a Demon v. Angel Akroma.
3-2 17th place top 16 got prizes. Luckily the store owner showed me pity and threw me a pack. Unfortunately there was a {search the city} waiting for me at the bottom of that pack.
I don't play a ton of standard, so I got legacy cards for a Maverick deck. I figure foil {Vraska the Unseen} will settle at $60 anyways. So I feel like we both benefitted from the trade in the long run.

Had to work this morning so I am heading to the one at 7pm here in a couple hours. Will you be at this one too?
Was at the Pre-release in Overland Park, Kansas @ Midnight. Had over 200 people easy because I was at table #109 and the host said it was the largest throughout the country.
Did horrible but scored an Armada Wurm, Blood Crypt, and Angel of Serenity. Some other good ones ill share soon.

Looking at the achievement cards, what the smut is a guild meeting? ???
Finished 4-2. Finished 9th out of 44. Top 8 advance to second round and top 4 get prizes. Second time finishing in 9th.
Finished 6th outa 37 with Azorius.. Went 4-1!

Lost 2, drew one. Went Golgari. My deck had zero win conditions :/
{deathrite shaman} did the most work in my deck, I went 2-2. My shop couldn't give all the prizes as rtr so I only got one rtr booster with an ava one. Pulled jace from thr prize booster. And traded my supreme verdict to the judge for a blight steel colossus
Went Golgari splashed white. Finished 2-2.
Selnes ramp was toughest matchup (cursed 8/8 tokens!!), 0-2.
Azor was okay (did played against a beginner to the game), but my removal were soecifically for flyers so made it out okay. 2-0.
Mirror golgari, bit slow but having access to {Jarad} after {Corpsejack Menace} and scavaging the {Deadbridge goliath} won the game. Other game was slobberfeast until one dropped to 0 life. 2-0.
Izzet, those pinging cards are so annoying. Should had won but forgot Jarad can also ATTACK :o 0-2.

Intentional match draw for 1st, undefeated with Rakdos. My opponent undefeated with Azorious. Those two guild were by far performing the strongest here. And I must say, I LOVE LOVE LOVE {Stab Wound}. Brutal.
Did a 2 headed giant after with a friend after, and we got our butts kick by Azorious after Azorious after Azorious. {Martial Law} is nasty!
I think most of the pros (from the article I read) are Azorius, Selesnya or Izzet.
Went selesnya and ended up playing BGW. Pulled a {trostani, selesnya's voice} and a {loxodon smiter} using populate a lot. But what helped me win most of my matches was one {pack rat}
Placed 23 outta 90. 17-32 got 2 packs top 16 3 packs top 8 8 packs top four 12 packs 1st place a box

I am running a {B}\{G}\{W} deck that I have high hopes for. Went 2-0 in first round....I will let you guys know....I am so pumped right now.
Went 2-0 in the second round too. Third and final round. I will at least get packs at this point since I went 2-0 both rounds.
Went 2-1 in the last match so it put me in first. Won 8 packs!!! Those pulls were not that great. I ended up trading some of them for another {blood crypt} and {Loxodon Smitter} so all in all a very successful weekend. No Vraska tho but I faced her in the last round. He had a wall/stall deck that was a good build for limitwd but my {golgari charm} hosed his 1/1 Vraska minions.

I was Izzet guild member (only 3 of us out of 40), went 1/1 first round Being a draw, blue white detain, second round was 2/0 green white tokens, epic win with his side 3 8/8 tokens swin for game next turn, at EOT I overloaded the blue tap all creatures I dot control then traitorous instinced a wurm and swong for game, round 3 was a super fast golgari, went 1/2, round 4 was another golgari, went 2/1 barely, and round 5 was a rakdos I went 2/1 all very hard very good matches, and got 8th with top 8 cut, so I faced off with number 1 and lost 0/2 rakdos, second game got him down to one and I was at 14 and he slowly wore me down and I had the over priced lava axe in my hand with only 3 mana, all match ups were with seasoned players that I all knew personally and good friends with, and I had no easy match up. Took my three packs with an imp, sphere, and exile all graveyard enchantment, pulled a blood crypt in my main 6, nothing else worth mentioning. All around I wish I didn't have to work so I could have done it again today :(

Went rakdos. Pulled pretty much all rakdos stuff, including {Rakdos, Lord of Riots}. 3 {Auger Spree} really gets there. I won 3 matches in a row and then made an insanely stupid mistake that I will not speak of the 4th match. The fifth one was a good match against someone better than me with a deck as good as mine.
Stats: 3-2. I won 4 packs. Notable pulls of the night were overgrown tomb, detention sphere, rakdos lord of riots, and hallowed fountain.
My friend pulled a freakin holo vraska...he always pulls good stuff I fing swear!!!! Lol
I honestly would say I pulled crap and out skilled my opponents. {syncopate} an {cancel} do work haha
