If I exile multiple creatures with exalted using {dark imposter} will he get multiple exalted instances? I'm thinking yes do to the wording of exalted.
I'm not sure you get exalted at all. Exalted is a triggered ability, not an activated ability, isn't it? So dark imposter won't gain it.
Nope it is triggered. An activated ability is cost: effect.

Correct. No plain keywords get transferred, just cost:effect abilities.
