Quote from: Brandaloog on September 25, 2012, 11:03:33 AMIt's been doing great in play testing. Against the aggro match ups like zombies I win most times. Against control if I win game one usually I win game game 2 or 3.
Seems pretty interesting! How's it been working out for you?
Quote from: ChrisRodriguez on September 25, 2012, 05:39:13 PMDoes nobody like that idea?
What do y'all think if I splash some {R} for 2 {gisela, blade of goldnight}?
Quote from: Brandaloog on September 26, 2012, 10:25:52 PMI think the same. It was something my friend was thinking I should do. I just wanted to see what other ppl had to say about it.
Nah, if you splashed red I'd say just make all American control. {Bonfire of the damned}, {pillar of flame}, gisela if you want her. I'm sure there are other good red cards I'm not thinking of as well
Quote from: Willthomjr on September 27, 2012, 12:23:35 AMWell I'm expecting an aggro environment in the new meta with zombies getting stronger and humans as well. {cavern of souls} plus some of the uncounterable spells coming out in RtR; the only way I see counterspells useful is against an other control deck which I think will be few and far between. Between zombies, humans, delver, and tokens I thought it best to focus on field control rather then spell disruption. Which is the best way i think to play control in the future meta.
U control deck with no counter magic?
*faint*
Quote from: Falcon182 on September 28, 2012, 12:41:25 AMI know this list not the one I'm gonna use. The original list I posted is what I'm gonna use. I just changed up the deck list a little for the ppl wanting me to have counterspells.
Why no {terminus}? With many aggro decks having from the grave abilities like scavenge, not to mention regeneration (which your only board wipe is weak to) putting a card on the bottom of their library is pretty powerful, moreso for {W}.
Quote from: Falcon182 on September 28, 2012, 12:43:01 AMYes it is but I rather use {dispel} if I'm gonna that route. Because it is a hard counter.
Also {judge's familiar} is a card.
Quote from: Falcon182 on September 28, 2012, 12:41:25 AMThe updated list is the list I plan on using.

Quote from: Willthomjr on September 27, 2012, 12:23:35 AMField control is so much more fun. And there is more then just stack control.

Quote from: ChrisRodriguez on September 28, 2012, 12:54:01 AMIt's not so much the counter that matters, it's the tempo generated when you can play him turn 1, delaying anything the opponent does by a whole turn. Plus you're pinging for 1 every turn.Quote from: Falcon182 on September 28, 2012, 12:43:01 AMYes it is but I rather use {dispel} if I'm gonna that route. Because it is a hard counter.

Quote from: Falcon182 on September 28, 2012, 01:15:01 AMIt's an creature heavy environment. By playing the familiar I'm not slowing anything down. Since it only counters instant or sorcery. Now if it {force spike}ed that would be a different story.Quote from: ChrisRodriguez on September 28, 2012, 12:54:01 AMIt's not so much the counter that matters, it's the tempo generated when you can play him turn 1, delaying anything the opponent does by a whole turn. Quote from: Sewell92 on September 28, 2012, 04:26:29 PMThe land has been working great for me. I usually play 25 in a control deck, but I have been running into a lot of mana flooding so I did 24.
How has the low land count worked? Seems like you need at least 2 more lands
