Title: Gideon jura
Post by: Richardalcala on September 21, 2012, 12:54:59 AM
Ok I was thinking of this because the wording is funny on {Gideon Jura}. His third ability says he is a creature and still a planswalker   So my question is since he is both he could be targeted with say a {tragic slip} or something that could take out a creature. I think yes but want to verify since I haven't played with this guy much. Thanks.

I've always wondered about this ability too. I've played it both ways but what's the ruling here.
Can Gid attack the first turn he comes down..... Or is he affected by summoning sickness? I'd say no, because you can use his other abilitys turn one.

Every creature that has not been under your control since your upkeep have summoning sickness. This inckudes Artifacts, lands and planeswalkers that turn into creatures.

I always love using his 0 ability. Then attacking. Then flickering him with {Restoration Angel}. Then using his +2 ability. 😛
