There could be some kind of log telling you what changed with the last database update when it gives you the option to update. Also, when you hit "update database", it could just check if there is an update and then ask if you really wanna update
It does the check and blocks the update if there's nothing new.
No, buy i thought of it showing you what are the differences between them, and then letting you choose to update or not. Something in the lines of

It would take too much time to create the log. Maybe I'll automate it one day, but I don't see why having the log would be important.

I just thought about it after I got all these subsequent updates. This way you can check wether or not you are making the same update again(which I think happened before more than once)
This is beta testing issue. You can track your database version by checking the rev number.
Any idea on when Return to Ravnica will be finished now that the set is on the gatherer?
I kinda started doing it but then I had to tandoori some pork tenderloin, then eat, then I had to go with my daughter and we were chasing snails for 2 hours, then we were back watching the new one in the aquarium, then I had to clean my wok and did some dishes too, and now I'll see what's the status.

It happens on my iPod as well, and it isn't in the beta version... But I don't think it is a bug, just a lot of updates, but I can live with it easily
If you're on non-english preferred language, it's a bug.
