Title: Rtr defender deck viable?
Post by: Brandaloog on September 18, 2012, 01:55:42 PM
I think a post RTR defender deck could be fairly viable, I've built a version in the standard section, I'll be making some
Changes every now and then. I may give it a turbo fog feel if I can work it out good enough.

What are your thoughts on it?

If any of you remember {overgrown battlement} then you know how rediculous that new mana defender is. Also i dont remeber your deck having {manor gargoyle} which is an obvious addition in my plans for a defender deck.

Usually with Turbo Fog, I like to play the least amount of creatures. That way I have a greater chance of drawing fog effects, removal and mass removal (like Terminus).

Planeswalkers are good because mass effects don't really bother them. If I were to play turbo fog again it'd be life gain/turbo fog using {Elixir of Immortality} (to get all my fog effects back) and {Chalice of Death} to have a permanent solution to the lack of damage. Basically an alternate win con.

Unfortunately {Rites of Florishing} rotates soon, and I've yet to see a suitable replacement.

I took out the mill from the defense deck. I've been play testing it and I think it can be pretty good!

{Jace, Memory Adept} is a great alternate win con vs. control decks. A good sb card.

I got high hopes that the battlement was high price, cuz I have one. Yah that didn't happen
