Title: Draft
Post by: peepew on September 17, 2012, 10:11:53 PM
We should make a draft section where people can post draft decks they made and talk about what worked and how they shoulda tweaked it ?
Also maybe a draft simulator you get to "open" some packs and draft from them if at all possible 😄

Where do you discuss this kind of things for now?

I see people asking about drafts or recent drafts in the gd.

Enough to warrant a new section?

Well you can draft in alot of formats so isnt it easier to make a 40 card standard deck post it in standard with "draft" in the title?
If you drafted standard that is.

Eh probably not because then you will need to make a section for every other type of deck possible.

I think a new draft section would be a good idea no matter the format .. that could be included in the title .. and a draft sim on this app would be AWESOME ... maybe u could just have a section where u get random cards from certain sets just like opening a pack 😃 might actually be possible!! but of course that's up to Lord Piotr

I checked my TODO and draft sim is there indeed, but very low. I'm TLCing the Card Database now, next up is TLCing the Deck Builder or implementing iMtG Server.

I was just about to make a post about draft sim, but looks like there's a thread for it already.

I for one would love the function to practice making sealed tourney decks on my phone.

Hopefully with enough thumbs up, we can bump this up on your TODO list.

Awesome app btw. Like another thread already said: SUCCESS!

The only real problem with making a draft sim is the AI.

You could work with the maker of decked(both builder and drafter). Your app seems more complete and useful, but his does have the drafter, and the builder has a better UI than yours, and I would say it has a better and quicker search/browsing engine on the database as well, if bothe apps were stitched together to get your functionalities with tweaks from his UI and search code, I think you would really benefit from it.

I totally disagree about the merge. Don't get me wrong I would love to have the draft feature and I think that Piotr is capable if he chooses(:o) to make a great drafter

Decked's developer is pretty awesome as well, I am not saying Piotr is bad, on the opposite, but I think two great developers who know what they are doing would work better and faster than just 1. They could focus on different aspects of the app and help each other. But that is just my opinion, and if Piotr doesn't want to do it I am totally cool with it. Besides, I believe Piotr can workout to do everything decked does and more, maybe with some nice tweaks, alone. I Would simply like an immediate solution

TJ* and I are competitors, we do not work together.

EDIT: * and a great one at that, for which I'm grateful. If you want to create great products you have to have great competitors.

Then I would say you are winning the competition ;)

I agree TJ has a great product but limited just to deck building, collections and card search

A Draft Simulator would be amazing, I'd pay for that add on.
