Title: Signed liliana
Post by: Ace on September 16, 2012, 07:20:05 PM
Does anyone know how much a {liliana of the veil} that is signed by the artist is worth? I just had a buddy give one to me so i would like to know if it would bump up the price, lower the price or stay the same.

Cards defaced lowers the value it's not mint/nm.

Jkjk I see them mostly add value to it.

Signed cards are usually sentental value based, most people i know are proud of them and dont attempt to trade. I've seen some sell for double price online but mostly ive seen a 10%-20% increase.

See one on eBay for $30 bin plus shipping. So I would say less then that.

It depends on whether it's got like a certificate saying that it is the artist's signature. If you don't have that it lowers the value for being defaced.

Though I'm not sure where you would send it to get one of those.

From what I've heard, it has no impact on the price.

Depends on the person I wouldn't want a signed one so it wouldn't add any value to me. I know one person who has a whole dragon deck and each card is artist signed and he wouldn't sell it for $10k

Some tournament players and pros have a lot of signed cards. If gives their deck a unique look.

Some like an extreme amount of alters, older versions of cards (opposed to reprints) and some like a lot of foils. It's a way of expressing a style in an environment full of similar looking cards.

In terms of market value, a signed {Mox Jet} goes for the same as an unsigned. You might find the odd person who values it more, but there's also people that would rather have something unmarked. It evens out.

I got a set of {auriok champions} signed on eBay and they were less expensive than any of the other regular sets. I think it just depends. Personally I wish I could see the flavor text but some people think signatures are the bee's knees. If you like it then...congratulations! It's worth more :)
