Title: First FNM since 1999
Post by: cltrn81 on September 14, 2012, 06:20:45 PM
Yea so the powers that be have deemed me to be away from home on business and there is a draft at the LGS in Kansas City, MO where I am stayin.

Any advice for an experienced player who is not well versed in limited?

Plan on 17 land 16-18 creatures and the other of the 40 to be other spells.

I can remember doing an Urzas block....I think Urzas....draft back in the day.

Anyway made it past round 1 with a {R}{G} deck.  2-0 in this match :)

I remember doing Odyssey FNM (I think, kinda fuzzy), that was 2001. I remember hating {Battle of Wits} then too.

Lost next 2 rounds and missed out on a promo {lingering souls} :(

But I pulled {Ajani caller of the pride}, {cathedral of war}, {omniscience}, {door to nothingness}.  Traded Ajani for {cavern of souls} 👍 so all in all a good haul for $10

Kansas could suddenly combust and be wiped off the face off the Earth, yet I can't think of any reason to care.

Putting Missouri and Kansas together, that's low.  Don't lump us with those Jayhawks.
