this is kind of random, but one of my friends got the izzet vs golgari duel deck and it go me thinking about my favorite format: EDH. Now to explain I always try to build a edh deck based upon flavor and I thought that it might be cool to get a duel deck edh series based upon rival legendaries. One idea that i thought up was a Phage vs Akroma edh (yes i know phage is hard but i have seen it done before). I was curious if anyone else has any match ups that they would like to see, and if they would like this kind of product to be made rather than single decks for the next commander product.
PS: My largest reason for this idea is that i'm thus far unimpressed with the whole "commander's arsenal" idea
How could phage be a commander? I think this is a pretty cool idea. I can't think of any match ups I'd like to see off the top of my head. I'd be pretty scared about the price for this though.

It's not easy but possible. Stuff that shuts down her ETB effect like {torpor orb} is the only way to get her out of the command zone without losing, and if someone responds to her summon with a destroy artifact spell...well, lights out.
But yeah, an EDH duel deck would be a really cool idea, but damn would it be expensive. Two good decks would easily total over $200 in card value. I suppose it's possible to have 2 decks of the out-of-the-box Heavenly Inferno commander deck value/power level for $50 each, so a duel deck for $100. Or a couple iffy decks with a few really good staples for $70 or so.
Well they do the new dual decks for $20. That is 120 cards. Extra 80 cards, it's doable for $30, 1 of each card and plenty of room for common and uncommon singles. 2 oversized commanders (which don't sell for much, so it's not like they're polluting the secondary market with reprints).
It's totally possible.
Just buy two Commander precons.

Very. Is the commanders arsenal just a one time deal or is it the FTV for commander now cause I heard there are gonna be new precon commander decks each year soon

Yeah. EDH already has a huge established play community. Planechase and Archenemy are novelties.
I would really like it if they produced alot more 3 colored "commanders". More than one for each combinarion ;D

I think that's another reason they're making more Commander sets. It's next to impossible to put tri-colored legendary creatures in regular blocks. This way they can make interesting generals that don't need to work or make sense in the context of a block and take up rare/mythic slots.
