Okay, from 1980- till 2012. What are the top ten albums?
A couple of mine.

7. Morrissey - you are the quarry
8. Fugazi - 13 songs

A bit all over the place. Fest ten that came to mind.

Madonna- like a prayer
Pearl Jam- ten
Honorable mention to Eat it by weird Al
Sorry, I'll be more clear. I meant not personal top ten, but overall top ten. There will be some personnel bias, but if you hate Metallica, you still have to recognize how big the black album was.
And only one album per group/person.
Overall top 10 is impossible. And no, Metallica wouldn't be on the list.

How do you not put the black album on there? That album, was amazing and had I believe 5 singles off of it. All that hit top 10. And If not that one then def. another one of there's hits the top ten.
AC/DC Back in Black
Metallica Master of Puppets
Metallca Ride the Lightning/And Justice for All
Marilyn Manson Antichrist superstar
Megadeth Countdown to Extinction
Evanescence Fallen
slipknot Iowa
Any album by Korn
This thread needs more Bryan Adams.
1-Tool - Ænima
2- Slipknot - Slipknot
3- KoRn - KoRn
4- Candelbox - Candelbox
5- Tool - Undertow
Then it's a toss up between more Tool, KoRn and Slipknot. Also I'd add
Soundgarden - Superunknown
Pearl Jam - Ten
Stone Temple Pilots - Core near the end of the list or just out of the top ten

The Black album is Metallica's least interesting album, and using that logic then Britney Spears by virtue of so many singles would have to enter the list. And if they absolutely "HAD" to be on the list, Black album wouldn't be it.
