Title: Snagged counterpart
Post by: JakeyWakey on January 02, 2012, 02:35:21 AM
If I use {cackling  counterpart} to make a token of a creature and my opponent uses {vapor snag} to return the creature to
My hand, what would happen, would the counterpart fizzle?

Yep, because the token is a direct copy of the creature, in every sense, the token would go back to your hand but vanish before it hit your fingers. ✨✨✨✨

Hmmm, I'm not sure it thats what the question was. Did you mean, if they bounced the creature in response to you making the copy?  In that case, with no legal target the {Cackling Counterpart} wouldn't resolve (AKA It'd fizzle like a bottle o' Coke)
